Finding Center ~ Unisex Zip Hoodie

“Finding Center” was painted in July/August 2021. 

Part of finding your center is about finding that intangible place within that is the best possible you - a you that is clear, in balance, and authentic. Jennifer has struggled with finding this in her work until recently. When she decided to leave her corporate world past behind she knew she needed to spend at least a year painting constantly to get back into the groove of her true creative self. And, her intuition was correct - about a year into being an artist full time - everything clicked into place. Her new look and flow had emerged! In 2021 that has evolved even further as she continues to center in on the imperfect worlds she puts onto paper and canvas. She loves showing the imperfectness that makes a human mark authentic (and not digital) ~ that’s where she sees the most beauty around her. 

Jennifer loves to paint large enough to capture the bold and energetic first washes of color. Once that energy is captured on the canvas, she starts the layers that add the complexity and patterns. Viewed from across a room, you can feel the energy. Viewed up close you see the time and love and details that Jennifer loves to mix with many of her pieces.
